Happy that it's here! September 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm glad that I ordered this DVD because I've been a fan of TLC since they first started (and I was so young then). I'm sad that they broke up after Left Eye's death but I can relive their greatest videos every time I pop in my DVD.

this is the classic album .... a must-have for all TLC fans! i just love listening to it on the way to work or wherever i need to go!
3 1/2 stars - Not complete, but I am grateful for its release. June 27, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I couldn't resist buying this in the store yesterday because I just love TLC's music and charisma. They are also one of the few artists who I think truly mastered the art of the music video. Here's the list of videos included on this DVD:
01. Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg 02. Baby-Baby-Baby 03. What About Your Friends 04. Creep 05. Red Light Special 06. Waterfalls 07. Diggin' On You 08. No Scrubs 09. Unpretty 10. Girl Talk
This DVD contains the videos for their biggest hits, but I also would've liked to have all of their videos. Maybe even some of the solo ones. I really love all of them, but my favorites are "Waterfalls," "No Scrubs" and "Unpretty." "No Scrubs" is futuristic and cool, just like most of Hype Williams' videos. The video also has Lisa's rap segment, which definitely should've been included on the album. "Waterfalls" is just beautiful. Every time I watch it, it feels like the first time and I'm touched. "Unpretty" has a great story and message that I think everybody needs to hear these days. The 5.1 Surround Sound option is very nice. The quality sound brings the videos to life even more. The photo gallery is pretty lame. There are just four small pictures, one from each album/era. They're nice, though. The behind-the-scenes footage also isn't that exciting. It's a little promo from the Fanmail era mixed with a few pictures and parts of videos.
Overall, like many have said before, this collection is great but incomplete. However, I'm grateful that we finally have a TLC video collection released. TLC continuously made great, compelling and energetic videos. (Note to record labels: wait until the end of an artist's career to release a video collection and include all of them!)
Close...but no cigar! June 21, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have to concur with most of the other reviews on this particular DVD compilation. I bought this with the thought that I might get more than the videos provided on the bonus DVD that came with the "TLC: Now and Forever...The Hits" collection. Which it does, but it does not contain some of the alternate video versions of these songs, and "Hat 2 Da Back" is sorely missed from this collection. How could you miss this one?!? How could anyone forget that this was the first (and maybe the only) TLC video that had flashes of them dressed up in skirts and dresses as a contrast to their casual hip-hop look?!? That may have not been their biggest hit off of the first album, but it may have been their best video. I have this video on VHS from back in the day, and I would love to see it in a full digital format along with these other classic videos. I can live without the videos done as solo projects in this compilation because they truly were not within the TLC fold, but perhaps one day we will get the COMPLETE collection with the solo videos packaged with the "R U the Girl?" reality series.
We're more likely to close up the hole in the ozone layer... May 30, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
...than to get a complete TLC video collection.
Unlike many other video releases, the Video Hits is only a bare bones release covering their biggest hits, not the entire arsenal of videos made by the greatest girl group that was TLC.
Why couldn't the record label have just released all of their videos on one collection? It wouldn't have been necessary to tie in the videos with the Hits collection cd. Just release a dvd entitled "All of It: TLC's Videos" or something to that effect.
I'm giving the disc 4 stars because it's TLC and the videos included are great; but I want a collection that has Hat 2 Da Back, Get It Up, Sleigh Ride, Damaged, and even the video TLC did with Goodie Mob. And the picture gallery included is not really a picture gallery. Just 3 group pictures in all from the different eras. Pathetic really.
