| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description This is the third CD for Hamilton Loomis and it brings to mind the soulful rhythms of the Memphis Sound of the "60s-horn-driven, bluesy, fat and funky sound. Hamilton co-produced this CD with King's X veteran Steve Ames, and wrote nine of the eleven cuts. He also wrote and arranged all the horn charts, and plays some hot harp and keyboard solos as well as his "Fired Up" guitar. Hamilton used his six-(6) piece band, which includes two horns, guitar, bass and drummer. At the release of his first CD in '94 critics called Hamilton a guitar whiz, phenom and prodigy. He has proven them right, performing steadily in the Gulf Coast area, building a loyal fan base of all ages.

artist that isn't quite there. Having listened to both of his CD's I've found 2 or 3 good songs on each one. The rest tends to be a little formulaic and uninteresting. While the bands he employs are tight, the material often consists of time worn riffs and trite lyrics. This would probably be a good live act in a small venue, but for repeated listening...........it leaves me a little cold.
PUT ON YOUR DANCING SHOES!! October 12, 2002 Put on your dancing shoes! This is a fantastic CD with lots of energy. We were lucky enough to have Hamilton perform at our wedding reception. Everyone danced, young and old alike. He was a hit, just as this CD. Buy it now! You will not be disappointed.
all fired up about hamilton August 17, 2002 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
hamilton loomis' all fired up is the best blues/jazz album I've heard in a long time. Hamilton surprised my wife and I in the spring of 01' when he and his band stopped in our little bar in fort smith ,Ar. We were having an open mike night and they stopped in and ripped out 3 songs from this c.d. and blew everyone away. He left us a copy of the cd and I have been singing his praises ever since. There's not one song on the cd i skip past. If you're a fan of the blues and contemporary jazz, blues you will love this cd
