fantastic! soulful! moving! June 12, 1998
Eva's voice is soulful, robust, haunting, lively. She can do it all. Her Over the Rainbow has to be the best rendition of this song ever. Check out her other CDs...Live at Blues Alley is excellent, and The Other Side, with Chuck Brown, showcases dynamite duets.
Poignant, clear-voiced, honest. June 4, 1998
You must listen to "Fields of Gold," "Time is a Healer" and "I Know You By Heart." Eva Cassidy was a treasure in metropolitan Washington, but should be known coast to coast. Her voice was effortless and beautiful. You might also want to consider other Eva CD's, including "Eva by Heart" and a live performance CD from a Blues Alley appearance.

Eva Cassidy is probably not known outside the Washington, DC area, and that is too bad. Listen to "Golden Thread," and you'll know why.This is the first, and probably only, national release for her. Unfortunately, cancer claimed her a year and a half ago. We shall miss her.
